The Ratchford Room
The Ratchford Room is exactly what you’d expect in a private dining experience, designed for any theme you choose. Whether it’s a child’s birthday party, super bowl Sunday party, business meeting, wedding party, rehearsal party or just a girls night out, we will tailor the room to fit your event.
The private room seats 26 comfortably with room for a few more if needed. This private room is treated as its own separate entity. Boasting an open timber concept with a fireplace that creates an ambient atmosphere. It has its own separate entrance, if required, and is totally private from the main dining room. Located downtown with ample parking, it is practically next door to The Ship’s Company Theatre. Situated near the scenic coast, within minutes you will find yourself sitting on one of the many beautiful beaches that stake claim to the world’s highest tides, as well as the site of the tidal power testing grounds for the Bay of Fundy.
All reservations for our private room will be given a prix pixe menu consisting of a choice of, two appetizers, two main course options and two dessert options all of which are created on site from the freshest local ingredients our area has to offer. If a group buffet is something you prefer, for example birthday parties for children, pizza and wings for the boys, or finger foods for the girls, please let us know what your needs are, the possibilities are endless. The buffet option is definitely the choice for those pressed for time and returning to work.
Private dining at The Ratchford Room is offered from the 3rd weekend of May to the 3rd weekend of October with certain limitations during peak season. All booking arrangements can be made through Sue Wheaton (Manager / Owner) or Glenn Wheaton (Executive Chef/Owner). We do not accept tentative bookings. The Chef’s Playground
The Chef’s Playground is for foodies who like to live on the edge. Our chefs will create a custom menu using exclusive local ingredients that are paired with wines from the area; this is a real treat for those not so faint at heart.
If you are looking to entertain prospective clients, throw a birthday party for a dear friend, wanting to wow the in-laws before the big day, or just want a special day for your child’s birthday, this room has what it takes.
